Gisela Torres
Gisela Torres is a London based visual artist who engages in fine art practices, performance and new media technologies using photography and the moving image.
Referencing the atmospheric in cinema and music and the playful in the surreal, her visual languages weave multilayered narratives of personal and historical relevance to investigate a sense of place, identity and loss.
She is a recent MA graduate with distinction from The University of Westminster in Photography Arts. It is there where she embraced printmaking exploring the photo polymer and mono printing processes.
In today's world of the digital, printmaking's physical nature and tactility and working with inks and paper to achieve a unique outcome are elements that are richly satisfying to her practice.
